Osian
Osian is famous for the 8th century Sun temple with carved pillars supporting
a conical roof, and having an image of Durga in it. Exquisitely sculptured
figures of several Gods and elaborately engraved ceiling in a large assembly
hall of Sachiya Mata temple still reminds of the ancient time. The Mahavir
Jain temple stands on a wide terrace with a three-tiered roof and a `torana'
gateway.
